2048 is a sliding block puzzle game developed by an Italian web developer Gabriele Cirulli. The main goal is to move tiles and combine them to create a 2048 tile. However, after you reach the goal, you can keep playing to create tiles with higher numbers.
2048 Gameplay
2048 is played on a gray 4×4 grid. As you start the game, you will see tiles with number 2 or 4. You need to use the arrow keys (on Desktop) or swipe (on Android, iOS) to move tiles. Each time you move, a new tile with a value of 2 or 4 will randomly appear in an empty spot. When two tiles that have the same number collide, they will merge into a new tile with the total value of the two tiles that collided.
If three consecutive tiles with the same number collide, only the two tiles farthest along the direction of motion will merge.
You can play 2048 online, for free and test your math skills.

Game variations
There are many additions to the original 2048 game including 2048 with the Undo feature, 2048 with elements from Doge meme, Flappy Bird, Tetris, and 2048 with bigger boards.
